For most travelers, a trip is so much more than the destination; it is also about the memories you make along the way. It is so special when you take a trip with the whole family. And, it’s important to plan even the smallest detail; for example, what will your kiddos eat along the way. If you are a bit stuck on what snacks to bring, this article is for you!

Trying to decide on the right snacks to bring is hard, but let’s start with how to bring your snacks on a long trip and avoid a big mess. Make sure to bring containers so you can disperse the food for each kid. The best option is the no spill sippy cup and snack bowl. This will give you some peace of mind when handing your kids their snacks! It can be hard to decipher which snacks and even harder when you have more than one kid. Don’t be discouraged, this can be a fun step! Have the kids pick out one of their favorite snacks. This will get them excited and looking forward to the trip.

To keep it simple, I’ve compiled a list of the top 5 snacks.

  • Make at Home Trail Mix (dried cereal, dried fruit, m&m, pretzels)
  • Cheese Strings
  • Puffed Snacks
  • Cookies
  • Veggie sticks (cucumber, baby carrots)

Traveling with the family is a moment to cherish. Don’t let the stress of planning get in the way of enjoying the moment with your kids. It does not have to be perfect!  The most important takeaway is those lifelong memories that you all will cherish forever. Turn your kids into the next generation of Globetrotters!
